Falling US Empire still Strong enough to Impose on UN - Genocide Blog 80

20.11.2025

One of the biggest crimes of history may turn out to be the voting of the USA-proposed UN Security Council Resolution 2803 on Gaza on 17 November in New York. This vote may end up having massive consequences. It does not intend to end Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine. It is instead a late-stage, desperate attempt at its perpetuation. It is not likely to succeed, but likely to inflict more suffering on Palestinians, as well as on people in the Lebanon, Syria, and other neighbouring countries that Israel regularly bombs. The Resolution sets up a “Board of Peace” that intends to allow the occupation and the genocide to go on. It sets up a “stabilizing force” to disarm the resistance fighters instead of disarming the genocide perpetrators. It reflects an upside-down world.

And, the vote at the Security Council shows us, once again, the “banality of evil”, as Hannah Arendt described those involved in perpetrating the German genocide against Jewish people in the 1940’s. It takes only the USA and Israeli State to be sadistic and to come up with a sadistic plan, patently flaunting international law, and then 12 countries on the Security Council vote in favour, not because they are sadistic but because of their cowardice, inability to think or act independently of the powerful states, and their being part of bureaucratic inertia. Two countries, China and Russia, after winning a few vague, yet vital, concessions in the drafting of the Resolution, at least had the decency to abstain. They realize the gravity of the consequences of this vote, but did not prevent it. The amendments they brought at least chip away at the edifice of the structure of Western colonialism. And the strangeness of the “resolution”, together with its vagueness, makes it somewhat meaningless, allowing an abstention.

The resolution merely reflects world reality today: Trump is in imperial over-reach and unpredictable, while surrounded by neo-conservative Zionists who “run” him. While still powerful, the Empire is already in free-fall. The USA is in internal turmoil with the army invading the cities, the vast majority of political leaders have been exposed as paid-for by pro-Israeli American oligarchs, and US foreign policy vacillates like the moods of sulky bully. The Epstein racket is exposing deep rot in the Empire’s ruling class. Add it to the Dominic Strauss-Kahn sex-racket and the West’s demise becomes clear.

Russia and China felt they could neither use their respective vetoes, having insisted upon important changes, nor vote the resolution, which remains colonial and against international law. The two countries also took into consideration the unanimity of the Arab and near-unanimity of majority-Muslim countries that fell like toy soldiers behind Trump’s absurd plan that hurtles towards the hellish chimera of a Gaza Riviera casino-IRS domain with free-zone hi-tech factories out of sight in the background.

The Resolution means Israel occupies half of Gaza. It means an “international military force” outside the UN will take up arms in Gaza, presumably against the resistance movements led by Hamas and including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Islamic Jihad and others. What the IDF could not do in two whole years and with all the American arms that Biden and Trump could supply, this new un-specified “stabilizing force” will do? Hamas has responded, reasonably, saying that it is not handing over arms to any non-Palestinian armed forces. To rule Gaza, the resolution adopts Trump’s weird, colonial governing council to oversee Gaza, chaired by none other than Donald Trump, one of the perpetrators of the genocide in Gaza as the main arms supplier for the genocide, himself. Talk about bizarre.

And the crime that is, this UN Security Council Resolution, will, in turn, accelerate the fall of its instigators, the American-Israeli Empire. The Empire rots from the inside at home, and from the outside abroad.

On the inside of the Empire, personal morality decays into orgies and sexual abuse, blackmail and extortion linked to secret services of two or three countries. The Epstein child-sex-trafficking blackmail racket exposes American and Israeli top political leaders, Presidents like Clinton and Trump, Treasury Secretaries like Larry Summers, American State Governors like Bill Richardson, Prime Ministers like Ehud Barrack and the involvement of top businessmen, top bankers and university professors like Alan Derschovitz from these two countries as being involved in different ways in this racket. A British Prince has been “kareman” stripped of his royalty – an almost impossible thing. It is the epoch were almost impossible things happened. The Houthis made Trump back down, and even disassociate from Israel. Trump sprayed cologne behind the ears of a former Al Qaeda and ISIS leader, now placed by Trump in charge of Syria, while he was in the White House, the ransom impossibly taken off his head. Trump has backed down and agreed to talk to Venezuela’s Maduro, after inventing a story of him being a drug-dealer-baron, thus a “terrorist”, thus a threat to national security. His 50 million dollar ransom on his head has blown off in the wind. The secret services of both States and Britain seem to be involved, one way of another in the Epstein racket, too. All that is not yet known is whether it was set up for the reason of political blackmail at the highest level or set up merely extortion of money.

Taken together with the other sex-racket involving the French Presidential candidate expected to have won, who was already in charge of the IMF, Dominic Strauss-Kahn who managed to get off charges of a huge high-class prostitution racket and of charges of violent sex abuse, we see the hidden rot on the inside of the dying Western colonial Empire. It is not a pretty sight.

On the outside of the Empire, every rot sets in. Trump accepts a gold bar worth Rs1,300,000 and a Rolex clock from visiting Swiss oligarchs. Then lowers Swiss tariffs from 39 % to 15%. Almost impossible, but done. In his last term he accepted 117 gifts that he did not report, and they were worth 8.7 million Rupees. The US law says it is illegal to accept personal gifts worth more than $480. Trump accepted 117 or so. Impossible, but it happened. Trump accepting a $400 million jet to become new “Air Force One” from the Qatari Royal Family. Impossible, but it happened.

The USA-Israel sponsored resolution goes outside of international law and outside of the UN system so as to attempt to prolong Israel’s illegal occupation and effective control over Palestine and the entire region. But the whole of the Security Council, in a banal way, gave its blessing, or ended up merely standing by, hoping it was so outrageous it would collapse into its own absurdity. It may do just that.

First the USA got Saudi Arabia and France to support this tactic, with their resolution that, itself, went outside of international law, then Trump got everyone to go to Egypt to fall into his plan, and now the UN Security Council has adopted the mad Trump Plan. When China and Russia, though they managed to get amendments that permit them to abstain rather than to vote against and use their vetoes, it shows that they are not yet in a position to get enough support for their own alternative plan. China tried with the Beijing Declaration earlier this year. Columbia’s President tried with the “Uniting for Peace” resolution that would have sent in a “protective force” to impose an end to occupation and respect for the ICJ ruling. The balance of military and geo-political power still precariously favours the USA and the West, as its Empire falls.

So, the USA will try to impose on the UN this completely unjust, colonial “solution” to Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people. And Trump can then brag, “This will go down as one of the biggest approvals in the History of the United Nations, will lead to further Peace all over the World, and is a moment of true Historic proportion!” The Trump and Israel peace plan is the silence of the lambs: getting rid of Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the abject vassals called the Palestinian Authority made a statement that the resolution's terms needed to be implemented “urgently and immediately”. The absurdity is that the key Israeli Minister Ben G’Vir just afterwards gave the following instructions in their regard: “National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called to assassinate senior Palestinian Authority officials if the UN Security Council approves the US-proposed Gaza international stabilization force resolution.” [I quote from the right-wing Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post.]

So, we must go on putting pressure on our Ramgoolam Government – whoever remains in it or leaves – to change its stance from tolerating Israel to downgrading its diplomatic status. Ramgoolam has done it before. He must do it now. The Government must bar Israeli visitors unless they vow not to have had or to have any links with the Israeli Defense Force or any other part of the military, so that we do not have war criminals visiting our country.

Do not fall for the propaganda: Israel continues with its genocide against the Palestinians, in both Gaza and the West Bank. The cease-fire is a pretense. Israel has killed eight Palestinians a day in Gaza since the cease-fire began on 10 October. In the West Bank, where the genocide continues, more than 1,000 people have been killed since October 2023, and thousands displaced from their homes.

Israel must pay for the reconstruction of Palestine. The ICJ judgment must be respected so that not only the genocide stops for the first time since 1947-8, but the occupation must be ended, refugees welcomed back, compensation paid. The ICC international arrest warrants for Israeli leaders must be acted upon.
