Israel and the USA proceed with their genocide and also attack Iran – Genocide Blog No 71

You will remember that we predicted that Israel and the USA would start a war against Iran, and that they hoped the enormity of this war would, at the same time, shield from the eyes of the world the continued slaughter they are perpetrating against the people of Palestine, in both Gaza and increasingly the West Bank. Indeed Israel imposed a communications black-out on Gaza simultaneously with the declaration of war on Friday 13 June. But, the images of mass murder still get out. Readers are advised to look for them. Al Jazeera and TRT are better on Gaza than any other mainstream media, but it is also essential to listen to deeper analyses, because both Qatar, where Al Jazeera is, and Turkey, where TRT is, have their own agenda in the region. Readers must look out for and share the analyses of thinkers like the Swiss man Jacques Baud, who gives interviews in both French and English.
It is important to keep our eyes on Israel’s genocide, and to keep our minds on how to continue to protest against Israel’s and its allies’ genocide with all our strength, whatever else is going on in the world or in the country.
That is exactly why three of our members, Alain Ah Vee, Ragini Kistnasamy and Ally Hosenbokus are right now in Egypt. They went there to help keep the focus on stopping the genocide. They went there as part of an attempt to march within Egypt to near where all the 10,000 aid trucks line up with food and medicine and wait, while Israel blocks them from crossing into Gaza, Palestine. The aim, like that of the Freedom Flotilla, is to make the genocide visible to everyone in the world so that we can stop it, by making our own Governments take action.
But the war was declared the very day the three LALIT members and some 4,000 other internationals were due to set off on the Global March. The Egyptian Government had agreed to negotiate for the march, but when Israel bombed Iran, the situation changed. All this, even as Israel goes on and on, pounding Gaza to smithereens, murdering everyone they can. The war now overshadows Israel’s crimes, on purpose, starves whole families right up to death’s doorstep. Israel even lays food, like a trap, at its mercenary-run “NGO” called the Supposed Humanitarian Supposed Aid Supposed Foundation, that supposedly delivers aid to Gaza, and then, when famished people scramble in panic to get their hands on a parcel for their family, the Israeli snipers target them, kill and wound them – children, grannies, youngsters, anyone. We are past all international law. Israel and its backers are now in utter, depraved barbarism.
And now Israel, after bombing campaigns against Palestine, the Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, declares all-out war on the state if Iran. The reason is supposed to be to prevent Iran having the means, in some distant future, to make nuclear bombs. Israel already has nuclear weapons. Israel has its nuclear program totally illegally. And the existence of their bombs means the USA gives aid illegally to Israel, not only by international law but also by USA law. The hypocrisy is absurd. And yet never do Trump, Macron, Starmer, or Merz mention it, let alone the CNN, BBC, The Guardian, New York Times, less still the rabid LCI, bring up this point which should be mentioned every single time Iran is merely falsely accused of what Israel is already known to be doing. In addition, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty gives Iran, as it give all signatories, the right to enrich uranium. The Treaty is clear: “Article IV: 1. Nothing in this Treaty shall be interpreted as affecting the inalienable right of all the Parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination and in conformity with Articles I and II of this Treaty.” So, the outright lies we have to put up with from American and European leaders and media are just plainly grotesque lies.
But that is not all the lies and propaganda we are submitted to.
There is a third one.
As readers know, there are two ways to declare war, one by saying so, and one by bombing civilian infrastructure and assassinating individual leaders and individual scientists. Israel declared war by just lashing out, bombing Iran’s cities, while murdering individuals with bomb-carrying drones, manipulated by spies and mercenaries. Israel just attacks, while negotiations “proceed” between Iran and the USA, Israel’ main ally. Israel just bombs Iran, while Trump has negotiations on-going, with a sixth meeting scheduled two days after the declaration of war. This is a war crime called “perfidy”, or negotiating in bad faith, entrapment and other acts of treachery that make humanity unable to resolve conflict. Trump, in a phone call with CNN’s Dana Bash, admits to killing the negotiators. So that is another crime to add to the USA’s war crimes. And it the third big lie, a lie by omission to define perfidy, and to mention that it is a war crime. Here is now it is defined: “acts inviting the confidence of an adversary to lead him to believe that he is entitled to, or obliged to accord, protection under the rules of international law applicable in armed conflict, with intent to betray that confidence.”
Meanwhile, Netanyahu announces on Fox News that the effect of his declaration of war will be “regime change”. The stated aim is, however, not regime change, which is illegal as a cause of war, but supposedly to stop Iran from enriching uranium at all, which we have seen it is unlawful to prohibit any signatory from doing, on the pretext that it might be used to fuel nuclear weapons. And here comes the fourth big lie. The UN regulator the IAEA said days ago that regarding Iran’s nuclear program that there is “no credible indications of an ongoing, undeclared structured nuclear programme”, which is a way of referring to signs of nuclear material being prepared for military use. All countries use enriched uranium in their radio-therapy and other similar treatments in hospitals, and for nuclear energy. It is normal. More perfidious still, less than three months ago, the USA’s Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, on 26 March stated in her report to Trump that: “The IC [Intelligence Community] continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003.” So, there is the proof that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful. Remember, for the record that it was Mr. Donald Trump, himself, who in 2018 just illegally broke the multi-lateral agreement that Iran had in 2015 signed up to, in which Iran promised not to enrich uranium beyond a certain percentage.
So, just like in the case of the USA’s illegal war on Iraq, Israel’s and the USA’s declaration of war against Iran is illegal, too. There is no “casis belli”, meaning no acceptable reason for a declaration of war.
And that is not all that gives the world déjà vue with the Iraq war. The whole issue of going to war on the false pretext of Iraq having “weapons of mass destruction”, now universally condemned as an invented machination with concocted “proof” shown to be forgery, is repeating itself. Must we all be so stupid as to believe another set of lies and deception, propaganda and perfidy, this time about “illegal” uranium enrichment which is not illegal, and non-existent nuclear bombs, as a pretext for what will be a much more hideous war still that the war on Iraq ever was? And the USA has lost all its wars, from Vietnam where the Communist Party they were ousting is still in power to Afghanistan where the Taliban they were ousting are still in power, and others the USA has lost by doing nothing but the total laying waste of countries like Iraq, Libya and Syria. It is the purest savagery, not even war. War has laws that govern it, by tradition and by international treaties. Israel and the USA lay all the waste, too.
Do not count on LALIT to believe all the rubbish put out by western supposed civilization. We seek to find out the truth, and to continue publishing the truth.
And right now, as we write, we read that over 20 huge USA Air Force aerial refueling tankers are being moved across the ocean right now. Are they, like the B-2 nuclear bomb carriers and bunker busters, in Diego Garcia, part of Mauritius? Do we want to declare war? Do we want our territory to be used? It is time for the Cabinet to at once put on hold the agreement that is pending UK Parliamentary assent. LALIT says this NOT for the same reasons the UK extreme right or some UK Chagossians say this. We say it because we want the base closed, and full sovereignty over Chagos in its entirety and without exceptions for 100 years, and the right to return (not be “re-settled”) for Chagossians and their free movement over the whole of the Republic, just as the rest of us Mauritians must have. The Government seems not to realize how serious this war being declared from our territory is.
