NATO countries Wreak Havoc and Split into Three

The point of a military alliance is that it represents unity of the allies in the alliance. It is about the very definition of the words “ally” and “alliance”. NATO has been one such alliance – led by the USA – an alliance that has existed since 1949, with the aim of uniting military forces against the USSR. Yet, it is only since the end of the Cold War that NATO has actually been wreaking havoc, and all the while pulling in some 12 new member countries. First NATO was the instrument for destroying the former Yugoslavia. Then it was part of the destruction of Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya and Syria.
Now, the NATO alliance is seeing meetings for an end to the war in Ukraine in three different meetings, attended by three different sets of NATO countries’ leaders. Three different sets of NATO allies have met today and yesterday.
Meeting Number One
Today, Tuesday 18 February, top emissaries of Presidents Trump and Putin meet in Saudi Arabia for talks to end the NATO-Russia war in Ukraine. The logic of this is that the USA and Russia have been at war, via the USA’s proxy, Ukraine, and now the two belligerents will find common ground for peace talks. Trump blames Biden for leading US-led NATO into a useless war. The terms of the peace will include, Trump has already made clear, Russia not returning any lost land that was Ukraine before 2014, and the US agreeing not to invite Ukraine to join NATO. That is the first NATO ally’s meeting
Meeting Number Two
In a pre-emptive “emergency” meeting, the NATO European heads of state met in Paris yesterday, Monday, to coordinate how to deal with today’s USA-Russia meeting, which explicitly cuts them dead. This emergency summit followed the “koze kuyon” they had suffered when USA Vice-President JD Vance tore a strip off them, one by one, at the Munich Security Conference on Friday, and confirmed their exclusion from the USA-Russia summit.
Meeting Number Three
The third NATO-country initiative is by Turkey. President Erdogan is meeting with Ukraine’s President Zelensky today to discuss security issues. Note that Erdogan was left out by both the USA for its summit with Putin’s men, and the European countries (EU and Britain), and Zelensky, too, was left out of both meetings. Ukraine, one of the countries at war, is just left out, showing that all along the war was a “proxy war”. Ukraine was the USA’s proxy. The Trump presidency has had enough of this war. So anyway, Zelensky is left out of both of the initiatives. Instead he will meet with the other “left out” one, Erdogan. They are meeting today, the same day the first USA-Russia summit meets.
NATO member Turkey has an additional problem. In words, at least, President Erdogan violently opposes Israel, and does support the Palestinians. Meanwhile, Israel, closest of all allies of the very USA that leads NATO and is Israel’s arms supplier for the genocide against the Palestinians, continues to occupy Syria ever since, according even to CNN, “striking nearly 500 targets, destroying the navy, and taking out, it [Israel] claims, 90% of Syria’s known surface-to-air missiles.” This Israeli continued occupation of Syria will soon bring Israel into conflict, maybe military conflict, with Turkey.
This will mean Turkey, a NATO member, risks changing its words to actions and going to war against the closest ally of the NATO leader, the USA! Will the USA, in such a case, as usual support its closest ally Israel in all Israel’s crimes? Or will the USA support a NATO ally Turkey?
This kind of “debandad” is a sure sign of the USA’s empire having to cut back from its military overreach, as its whole edifice proceeds to its fall.
