Mauritian Journalists’ Common Declaration in solidarity with Palestinians reporters

We are publishing this common declaration (pasted below) made by newspaper editors and reporters in the Republic of Mauritius, who we have brought together to express their solidarity with Palestinian reporters and their compassion for the family and friends of these reporters, in the face of so many assassinations since October 2023, during the ongoing genocide in Palestine, and in particular in Gaza.  


This declaration is an initiative of the common front called Solidarite Morisyin Ar Lepep Palestinn (SOMALP)*.

** We, the undersigned, journalists and press workers in the Republic of Mauritius, would like hereby to express our deep condolance to the families and friends of the 169 journalists killed during the course of their work as journalists on the front in the genocide in Gaza and in Palestine in general by exposing the pain and suffering of the oppressed people of Palestine.


We also express our undying support for and our profound admiration of all the colleague journalist in Palestine for the devotion they have shown in exposing the truth of what is happening in Gaza to everyone in the whole world. .


And we express our wish that this commitment of Palestinian journalists is appreciated by everyone in the world.
