Letter by Ram Seegobin to L'Express editor; Ref Comment Signed Ram Seegobin

We are publishing a letter that LALIT member Ram Seegobin sent on 31 May to L'Express Editor Nad Sivaramen. The content of the letter speaks for itself.

Dear Nad Sivaramen,

It has been brought to my notice that one comment following an on-line Express article by Sooresh Moorlah on 30 May 2024 on the Bernard Maigrot trial is signed “Ram Seegobin”, which as you are aware is my name. I would like to point out that I had nothing to do with that comment.

Of course, I have no way of certifying that there is not someone else called “Ram Seegobin”, but I would be grateful if this confusion could be clarified, as the content of the comment is causing me some political and social harm.

I understand that those who post comments supply you with an email address, so it should be easy for you to ascertain whether such a person does exist.
