Delegates from 27 Housing Estates Petition Housing Minister re Asbestos

Last week delegates from twenty seven (27) different housing estates – see list – sent petitions to the Housing Minister Steve Obeegadoo to demand removal and replacement of their houses made of asbestos panels. The petitions were organized through the joint-committees that LALIT has with each of these housing estates. What other party has this kind of implantation?
This is the first batch of petitions and they come from 27 of the 45 or so estates with asbestos housing. The neighbourhood meetings that take place to prepare the signatures have been slowed down somewhat by the lockdown.
